Hall Rentals

The Gerrish Township Municipal building offers its meeting room to rent for special events.

Rules for rental are as follows:

1.        To qualify for the resident rate for hall rental, the person renting the hall must be a Gerrish Township resident who is renting the hall for his/her own use.

2.        The hall will NOT be rented to minors.

3.        Hall capacity is 115 persons.  Hall will be vacated by 1:30 a.m.  Periodically the Fire/EMS and Police Departments will make inspections during the rental period.

4.        No parking or driving on grass or sidewalks.  No parking at Fire/EMS Department end of building.

5.        Food or beverage must be confined to kitchen and meeting hall.

6.        Absolutely NO tacks, staples or tape are to be used for fastening decorations to walls or ceiling.  Tape may be used to fasten decorations to tables but must be COMPLETELY removed.

7.        Tables and chairs must not be taken outdoors.

8.        Building and grounds must be cleaned according to the “Hall Rental Cleaning Requirements”. 

9.        Proof that the renter’s homeowner’s insurance extends coverage off their premises for the rental period MUST BE PROVIDED before keys to the hall are provided.  Proof of insurance not required for governmental agencies and/or self-insured agencies.

10.        Facility must be left as it was when rented.

11.     Rental date cannot be held without a security deposit.

12.     NO alcoholic beverages allowed.

There is a gazebo on site at the Township Hall for outdoor activities.  Reservations are not taken.  It is on a 'first come-first served' basis.

The tennis courts are adjacent to the gazebo.  There is a Port-a-John on site.
