GERRISH TOWNSHIP

Higgins Lake Advisory Committee

The Higgins Lake Advisory Committee was established in 1990 through the efforts of Gerrish, Lyon and Beaver Creek Townships.  Representatives from each of these Townships hold appointments on the Higgins Lake Advisory Committee (HLAC) as volunteers.

By resolution, it was determined that the Committee ‘shall assist and advise the Townships in planning, managing and coordinating efforts to preserve and conserve the natural resource of Higgins Lake’.

It has been determined that the purposes of the Higgins Lake Advisory Committee have been met.  Individuals are pursuing areas of special interest to them.

Does NOT meet regularly.  The Gerrish Township Board has agreed to the Higgins Lake Advisory Committee's desire to begin meeting again to address specific problems/concerns regarding Higgins Lake.
