HOUSE NUMBER ORDINANCE
Assigned street numbers are required to be displayed on the front of all dwellings. House numbers displayed on building fronts shall not be less than five (5) inches in height. For houses that are more than 50 feet from the road or are not clearly visible, house numbers must also be displayed at the road on a sign attached to a tree, fence or post visible from both directions. The sign needs to be placed at a height to assure that it will not be blocked by snow. House numbers displayed on street fronts shall not be less than three (3) inches in height. Anyone in violation of this ordinance may be issued a civil infraction violation (ticket) immediately. The first offense is subject to a civil fine of not less than $50.00, first repeat offense not less than $125.00, second repeat offense not less than $250.00, third repeat offense, or any subsequent repeat offense, not less than $400.00 each.
